Free Literary Magazines aka Recycle Reading

I read a ton of literary magazines. Tossing them in the recycle bin seems so….wrong. Would you like one? Just send me a message on twitter@Vickigeist with snail mail information and I’ll send you one. If so inclined, you can snail a  couple bucks or so for the postage. P.O. Box 387, Hayward, CA 94543. You can also just snail a request in if you’d rather with or without that buck or two. Due to postage costs, domestic or APO only.

  1. Vicki, So enjoyed the California Writers Club meeting and hearing from you and the critique/support group panel. Started reading your book. See that you know Amos, one of my fave people, too.

    • Thanks for the kind words. Amos gave a great presentation a few years back at the SFWC. He’s a wonderful guy and poet! Hope No Red Pen is helpful for you. Let me know what you think.

  2. Dear Vicki,
Thank you so much for this insightful review of “Primary Lessons.” We writers sit before our computers and pour our hearts onto the computer screen. The leap into the lives of readers is a vast chasm to cross. Thank you for helping me make the leap.
    With love, Sarah

  3. Wow – I couldn’t resist investigating your blog a little after I saw your notice about looking for writers to interview in May, on the Pulitzer Remix site … what a fascinating life you’ve led, and continue to lead for that matter … this may be something I’m interested in doing or, I may have some referrals for you, if I can sort out my thoughts by the time this project’s done…I’m enjoying it but it seems to be consuming me a bit. I am interested in your literary magazine deal but how about a swap? I’ll be honest – my tastes run strongly towards Canadian magazines (probably because I’m trying to crack the market) so I have some of those in depth (Malahat Review, Prairie Fire, Arc, Dandelion, CV2) but I love pretty much everything out there and have some others (Bellevue Literary Review and Rattle) that I’d be willing to part with…Let me know what you think –
P.S.I know I’m a Canadian and this might sound like it’s coming out of left field (especially if you read my bio or anything else about me and realize what a peace activist I am and always have been; that has never been in conflict with supporting troops on the ground – ever) – so, that being said…after reading what you did before you were retired, I just wanted to say thank you. Truly.

    • Thanks for checking the site out and your comment. Be happy to trade some lit journals with you and would love reading some from up north there. I’ll put a few into the mail soon as you email or twitter me an address.

PS – the world needs peace activists as much as soldiers. One day it won’t need either. We can hope.
